100 Buck Avenue
100 Buck Avenue – Built in 1922 by Clement Hartley, the main house of 100 Buck Avenue remains the cornerstone of Historic Downtown Vacaville. Touches of the original home remain – wood floors, glass doorknobs, and even the electrical panel.
The studio guest house sits atop a 3-car garage/workshop and office. The garage has two defined parking spaces, a tandem space currently used for storage that opens to the back of the property, two offices and a half-bath downstairs. The studio on the second floor features a beautifully detailed ceiling and fireplace.
The pool house’s floor-to-ceiling California doors face the Cabo ledge pool with water-falling hot tub for a perfect view of paradise. The exposed-beam ceiling contrasts with an exquisite two-way fireplace.
Framing this expertly-restored Spanish Revival is a 100-year-old Ginkgo tree and an exquisite pallet of landscaping filled with fruit trees, grape vines, garden beds and many variety of palms. Centered on the .83 acre is a tropical oasis perfect for entertaining. Finally, at the back of the property, a Bocce ball court, garden beds, and grape vines complete this estate.
This Spanish Colonial Revival house was built in 1922. It belonged to Clement Hartley who directed Hartley Orchard Co., which later merged with the Vacaville Fruit Co. He also managed the Bank of Italy from 1917 until his death in 1929.
Over the next two decades, the Chamberses transformed the Spanish Colonial Revival home on historic Buck Avenue into an exceptional family compound.
